Makeup Artistry Training was held at 10A Forum Way, Epping, and was hosted by Epping-Wollert Nepalese Community (EWNC) and Didi Bahini Samaj Victoria (DBSV), with support from Whittlesea Community Connection. The event provided hands-on training by professional makeup artists and was specifically designed for beginners. Participants learned key techniques such as skin preparation, foundation application, contouring, and eye makeup. Attendees brought their own makeup kits and received a Certificate of Attainment. The training offered a fun, engaging, and supportive environment, along with opportunities for networking and community building.
EWNC Australia Day Fete 2024 was held on Saturday, 20 January 2024, at Thyme Park, Wollert. Hosted by Epping-Wollert Nepalese Community (EWNC), the event celebrated Australia Day with the theme “Reflect, Respect and Celebrate.” The day featured free BBQ, cultural displays, and a variety of fun activities for families and children. Entry was free, making it an open and welcoming event for the whole community. Sponsors were invited to be part of the celebration, and the event successfully brought together people from all backgrounds to enjoy the festive atmosphere.
International Women’s Day 2024 – Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress was held on March 9, 2024, at 10A Forum Way, Epping. The event featured an engaging workshop designed for the women of EWNC, focusing on financial well-being, goal setting, debt management, budgeting, and saving. A special presentation by Good Shepherd provided valuable insights into money management and financial empowerment. The session offered a supportive space for learning, growth, and meaningful conversations around women’s progress and financial independence.
Nepali New Year Feast Program 2024 – Ban Bhoj 2081 was held on April 13, 2024, at Yan Yean Reservoir Park to joyfully welcome the Nepalese New Year 2081. Families and friends gathered for a festive day filled with food, laughter, and cultural connection in a beautiful outdoor setting. The event was proudly sponsored by Montera Real Estate, whose generous support helped make the celebration a great success. It was a memorable start to the new year, bringing the community closer together.

Interaction Program with Nepalese Lawyer was held on May 18, 2024, at 10A Forum Way, Epping. Open to the public, the session provided valuable insights into key legal topics including immigration, family, property, business, and general law. Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with a Nepalese legal expert, gaining practical advice and a better understanding of their legal rights and responsibilities. The event was informative and well-received by the community.

Car Basics & Maintenance Info Session was held on December 14, 2024, at Galada Community Centre, 10A Forum Way, Epping. The session featured Aakash Malla, Manager and Director of Prestige Automotive Mechanics, who shared practical car care tips drawn from his 17 years of experience in the automotive industry. Participants had the opportunity to learn essential maintenance skills, ask questions, and gain confidence in managing their vehicles. The event offered a friendly and informative environment, making it a valuable experience for all who attended.

EWNC Annual General Meeting 2024 was held on December 21, 2024, from 11 AM to 12 PM at Galada Community Centre, 10A Forum Way, Epping. The meeting brought together members of the Epping-Wollert Nepalese Community (EWNC) to reflect on the year’s achievements, discuss future plans, and strengthen community engagement. It was a meaningful and collaborative gathering, highlighting the progress and unity of the community.

Woolworths Cricket Blast Program was held on March 2 and March 9, 2025, at JC Donath Reserve, Reservoir. Hosted by Cricket Victoria in collaboration with the Victorian Nepalese Cricket Association and the Nepalese Association of Victoria, the free program introduced children aged 4–12 to the fun of cricket in a friendly and engaging environment. Running from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, the sessions provided a perfect opportunity for kids to learn basic cricket skills, make new friends, and enjoy the game. The event was well-received by families and served as a great kickoff for young cricket enthusiasts.

Bhajan-Kirtan Inaugural Program 2025 was held on May 23, 2025, at Galada Community Centre, 10A Forum Way, Epping. Organized by the EWNC Parents’ Group, the program marked the beginning of a new spiritual initiative in the community. Attendees gathered for an evening of devotion, prayer, and togetherness through bhajan and kirtan. The event offered a peaceful and heartfelt atmosphere, bringing families and community members together in shared spiritual harmony.
EWNC Sports Sponsors Meet & Greet was held on June 28, 2025, in Epping from 6 PM to 8 PM. The event provided an opportunity for EWNC Sports to connect with current and potential sponsors, share updates, and express appreciation for their support. It was a valuable evening of networking, discussion, and community collaboration aimed at strengthening the future of sports initiatives within the EWNC community.
EWNC Teej Mela 2025 will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Epping Memorial Hall. Hosted by the Epping Wollert Nepalese Community (EWNC), this vibrant annual celebration brings together people of all ages to enjoy live performances, traditional music and dance, authentic Nepali food, and the joyful spirit of Teej. This year’s featured performers include Mohan Khadka, Sunita Budha Chhetri, Sarita Dankuti, and Januka Tamang, with special cultural highlights from Baal Vatika and EWNC Seniors.

The 4-hour event featured enchanting Deusi Bhailo songs, lively cultural dances, beautiful lighting displays, and fun games that added to the festive spirit. Families and friends gathered to honor Nepalese traditions, celebrating the triumph of light over darkness and the strength of community bonds. Entry was free for EWNC members and their families, making it a joyful and inclusive evening for all who attended.
On November 4, 2024, the Epping-Wollert Nepalese Community (EWNC) executive team held a productive meeting with the Hon. Andrew Giles MP, Minister for Skills and Training. The discussion focused on key initiatives aimed at enriching the lives of Nepalis in the Epping and Wollert areas, while fostering cultural identity and opportunities for younger generations. Topics included the success of EWNC Baal Vatika, efforts and challenges faced by the EWNC Sports Club, the importance of cultural events and community gatherings, and the need for orientation sessions for visiting parents. The team emphasized how council and state support could significantly strengthen these initiatives. Hon. Andrew Giles expressed strong support and appreciation for EWNC’s work, offering encouragement for continued collaboration. The meeting was both inspiring and constructive, reaffirming EWNC’s commitment to building a vibrant, connected community.
