Welcome Message from the President of EWNC
Founder
Namaskar!
It is with immense pride and gratitude that I welcome you to the Epping Wollert Nepalese Community (EWNC). Since our establishment in 2017, EWNC has grown into a vibrant hub of cultural exchange, community support, and social engagement for individuals and families of Nepali origin in Epping and Wollert. Our mission has always been to foster a sense of belonging, preserve our rich Nepali traditions, and create a platform where our community can thrive together.
Through our various programs and initiatives, EWNC continues to promote the interests and well-being of our community. From our Baal Vatika, which teaches our children Nepali language and culture, to our sporting events that promote health and unity, we are committed to uplifting and empowering everyone. Our focus extends to advocating on important issues like mental health, family violence, and women’s empowerment, ensuring that our community is supported in every way possible.
We also celebrate key cultural events such as Teej, Deusi Vailo, and the Nepali New Year, bringing everyone together to celebrate our heritage while embracing the diverse multicultural environment of Australia. Alongside this, we engage with our broader neighborhood through activities such as Australian Day BBQs, blood donation drives, and introducing kids to Australian culture through programs like footy sessions.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue working towards our goals, building stronger connections within our community and with the broader Whittlesea region. We aim to expand our programs, including our efforts in sports, education, and advocacy. I am also grateful for the continuous support of our volunteers, contributors, and partners, without whom none of this would be possible.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we can create a thriving and inclusive community for all.
Warm regards,
Manoj Poudel
President, EWNC
